I also use a prefab wood fireplace to assist in heating my home (1200 sq ft) because I live on a 1-acre wooded lot. I use my dead and dying hardwood trees for fuel. I average about $100/mo. electric. Use the sense God gave you. Live BELOW your means, save at least 5% of your income, and invest in America. You’ll be fine. Not “rich”, but you will survive with little problem.

Yes we should use coal. Even if the US gets to zero emmisions, it will not do anything to the climate because of India’s and China’s pollution. Unless they do their fair share nothing the U.S. can do will change the main issue.
China, India and Russia are building more coal fired power plants, while we’re closing ours here. That makes no sense at all. We need to kick the climate change crazies out of office.
