The woke mob hit the ceiling when this state Superintendent made one proposal to fix America’s broken education system

The government-controlled education system has been failing American students since the federal Department of Education was established in 1979. Donald Trump is promising major federal reforms, but state and local impact matters. And the woke [...]

  1. The stupid woke mob needs to be jailed. Know true American citizen wants them. We love our country and don’t need your leftist idiot shit.

  2. Close the Federal Education Department. It’s not needed. Another abuse of taxpayer money. Parents should be able to take tax dollars to whatever school they choose. It will make schools safer and more responsible for making sure students get a good education. No more transgender bullshit and telling kids that they should be embarrassed about their heritage.

  3. Yes, parents need more voices in public school and close the charter schools. Out tax payers dollars shouldn’t pay for that it’s taking away from our public schools

  4. I remember when America was the TOP COUNTRY IN EDUCATION! Til the dumb fool call Jimmy Carter started the DEPARTMENT of EDUCATION. Big mistake by a president who has no clue about anything! But we see that in EVERY DEMOCRAT POLITICIANS AND PRESIDENT! Even removed book that taught children our country history, for those dumb people who slept in classes.

  5. The Federal Department of Education is not accountable to the parents. Therefore, it should be shut down. Each state should handle the educational needs of their residents. Each state should also ensure that the curriculum for the students are posted on a website and adhered to. States should also set up online schooling that other state residents can enroll if the parent determines that they want that curriculum for their child if they live in a state like California or Colorado.

  6. I am both retired military and public educator with state certification both as a teacher and administrator. The US Dept. of Education attempt to standardize curriculum for the entire United States is a mistake. The 10th ammendment to the Constitution returns all authority to the states that is not specifically deligated to the Federal Govt. in the Constitution. The Constitution does not deligate the role of education to the Federal Govt. The simple fact is, for example, that the educational needs of a child in New York are not the same as a child in Texas The curriculum and structure of education should be a local matter determined by the needs of that community.

  7. It’s not just the DOE that needs to be abolished but anything that the states can do for themselves is best left to the states. The Feds need to handle the things that states cannot do such as Defense, matters in dealing with other countries, maritime issues and anything else in that limited list. The Feds have gotten into every aspect of our lives and that’s not necessary. That way the crazies who live in California, NY and other Democrat run states cannot push their ideologies on the rest of us. Florida is proof that a state knows it’s people better than the Feds and does for them the things necessary for safety and liberty.

  8. We don’t need a dept of Education turn it over to the states with common sense people running it. The dept of education has turned into a money grab for the elect. They do not care about the children of their education.

  9. Do not understand why, with more than half the population NOT satisfied with
our education results, we haven’t made more necessary changes. Use N.Y. as a starting
example of how not to. Education starts our future.
